Senior "Phone a Friend" Program:
During these challenging times, would you or someone you know benefit from hearing a friendly voice? If so, please see the attached flyer and application to sign up for the Senior “Phone a Friend” program. Through the duration of the Governor’s “stay at home” Order, City staff and volunteers will be making well-being calls to seniors in the community. To register, please call the Community Center at (949) 493-5911 or e-mail Heidi Ivanoff, Senior Programs Coordinator, at email@example.com.
Effective Monday, March 16, the AARP has canceled the senior tax preparation program.
Effective March 13, all non-essential programs and activities scheduled to take place at the San Juan Capistrano Community Center were suspended. This includes classes, private events and the Senior Lounge. At this time, the senior meal delivery program and transportation support services remain in operation. Full refunds of city facility rental fees will be provided to impacted private event organizers. For questions regarding a specific activity or program, please contact the Community Center at (949) 493-5911.
Several community markets and grocery stores have special hours designated for seniors. Please see the attached list for locations and store hours.
