Downtown Parking

 

Parking Structure Pilot Program:  Beginning Friday, June 7, 2019, the City, in coordination with the Franciscan Plaza owner and property manager, will be implementing new parking meter rates throughout the parking structure.  The goal of the rate increase is to incentivize parking turnover within the structure and provide greater availability for all user groups.  Below is the design layout of the parking structure, as well as the new parking space allocations, hours of enforcement, and meter rates effective Friday, June 7 through Monday, September 2, 2019.  Pay stations are conveniently located at the Level 1 entrance to the parking structure and near the easterly staircase on Level 2.

Parking Spaces 1-34 (Basement Level) - Overnight Parking ONLY

  • Seven days a week; and 3-day parking limit.
  • $12.00 per day.
  • Pay first by space number at pay station.

Parking Spaces 35-108 (Basement Level) - Public Parking

  • Seven days a week.
  • $2.00 hourly parking or $12.00 all-day parking.
  • $2.00 all-day parking if parked before 10:00 a.m.
  • Pay first by space number at pay station.
  • Commuter and Franciscan Plaza Employee Parking Permits exempt.

Parking Spaces 109-355 (Levels 1, 2, 3) - Public Parking

  • Seven days a week; 3-hour limit; and No overnight parking 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  • $2.00 hourly parking.
  • Pay first by space number at pay station.
  • Franciscan Plaza Employee Parking Permit exempt.

 

Valet Parking Pilot Program:  Beginning Friday, June 7, 2019, the City, in coordination with HowElite Parking Solutions, will be implementing a summer valet parking pilot program with a drop-off and pick-up location at the entrance to the Multi-modal Parking Lot off Verdugo Street.  The goal of the program is to increase parking availability for patrons and to help reduce congestion associated with motorists circling the downtown in search of parking.  The valet program ends on Monday, September 2, 2019.
