The removal of graffiti on public property is performed by the Public Works Department maintenance division per City Ordinance 577. Graffiti on public property is generally removed within 24 hours of notification.

Graffiti removal on private property is the responsibility of the property owner and is enforced by the City’s Code Enforcement Division of the Community Development Department. For graffiti removal on private property, please complete the Code Enforcement Request Form.
Graffiti that is located along the freeway or somewhere in the Caltrans right-of-way, please contact Caltrans directly by calling their graffiti hotline (949) 936-3500.
