Effective 3/16/2020, as a result of the City Hall closure in response to the COVID-19 Virus, all new plan checks & permits will be required to be submitted and issued electronically. Please refer to our Electronic Permitting page for information on how to submit electronically.
For projects submitted into plan check prior to 3/16/2020, the review of hard copy plans will continue. Existing hard copy plan submittals, corrections and revisions may be dropped off only on Mondays and Wednesdays before 5pm in the Plan Drop Off Bin located outside the main entrance to City Hall. No appointment is necessary to drop off plans in the bin. In order to allow a 48-hour plan hold, Staff will retrieve the plans dropped off on Monday from the bin on Wednesday and will retrieve the plans dropped off on Wednesday from the bin on Friday. All hard copy resubmittals must be returned with the correct number of plan sets, including all redlines/old plan sets in order to be accepted for review.
For projects that have plan check corrections or approved plans that are ready to issue, you will be contacted by staff to schedule an appointment for pick-up.

The Building Department oversees all applications for new construction and renovation, to include; reviewing applications for building permits, building permit issuance, inspections, and maintaining historical records related to issued Building Permits (which the public may access at the Building Counter during regular business hours).
We strive to provide exceptional customer service and provide a response to all inquiries within one full business day (24 hours) of receipt. Counter hours with the Building Official are reserved for questions and permit inquiries related to the building code. New submittals/resubmittals/revisions must be submitted for plan review and will not be reviewed over-the-counter.
